I'd like to buy autotracking devices for my guns. Autotracking that looks not like in "Remake" or "WC Universe" but just for correction of gunfire. A* is text based game and sometimes I can't hit an enemy while his/her rear turret is hitting my ship. We have only some degrees of movement and (for some positions) we can't proper aim. Autotracking would be a very good solution in such a situation.
Let's say, 100k Cr. per each and only at Loye Naval Base with high "mercenaries" reputation...
BTW I know that in original "Privateer" ship dealers had full offer regardless of base (type, size, position in sector). But A* is game made anew with a lot of new things (like boarding). I think ship dealers should have limited offer depends of ships type they selling and where they are (i.e. pirate base had limited resources and ship equipment shouldn't be the same like in LNB and prices should be higher).
I also propose to make TCO - ships are wearing down with time. There should be a technical inspection from time to time at ship dealer (maintenance cost). Without inspection ship should be less efficient. You know, repair droid is not enough...
Oh, yes. The pilots! Right now I'm not using hotels in game (it's just waste of time) and in 24h I can fly "around whole sector". During flight I can restore "my" health. Maybe pilots should get tired? Let's make an "fatigue indicator" - with time "our" skills should be weakest. After 72 hours of flight and fight I shouldn't be able to carry any weapon let alone effective aiming. _________________ Genuine Lifelike Individual

Not a bad idea. I need more things to do in Asciisector. Nothing much to do now, that I have a maxed out ship, other than saving money for future implementations of "buying base" stuff.
And it doesn't sound like a major difficulty to implement.

Yeah. Me, I like the idea of feeling connected to my ship, and that includes wanting more little tweaks that you can add (add 10 kps to max speed when the new widget comes out, for example), as well as it wearing down over time. Anything that makes it feel less like a magically healing extension of myself and more like a car you have to take care of and keep tuned, the happier I'll be.

It'll be good to have repair droid that is "really" working not just "magically heal" our ship and droid requires inspection too. Besides spare parts are required for repair. We have "nanobots" for damaged guns&armor. Maybe every repair should require some nanos (but far less than guns)? How long can repair droid solder and weld damaged parts? At some point such equipment is just crap. _________________ Genuine Lifelike Individual

Repair droids just put the broken devices back together using the pieces. Armor and guns, being on the outside of the ship, have their broken pieces fly away when they get damaged. _________________ "So I went to the librarian in the biology section and asked her if she could find me a map of the cat."

Really? How about "grey" (completely damaged) ship's equipment? Its pieces flown away too? Well, in this case droid should repair it using nanos. Maybe it is work for Advanced Repair Droid... _________________ Genuine Lifelike Individual
