So, I finally got enough money (man, I got an odyssey behind me, my Taurus was falling apart) for an Orion.
And it doesn't come with a jump drive, what a ripoff.
Any suggestions how to get some money in the loye sector?
I really need that jumpdrive to be able to get anything done.

If you want to do this without "old" save then fly from navpoint to navpoint for "wasting" some time, land at base/planet and look/check for some new mission in this sector (e.g. scout in Loye). If you've got some money (20 Cr.) then start "boring" merchant trade (agricultural planet -> Navy Base/Pleasure planet). Next time carefully count your money...

I didn't know how much my taurus was worth. Guess I overestimated for how much I could change it in the shipyard. XD
Why doesn't the new ship come with a jumpdrive? I thought it would come with one. When I started my taurus had one already.
(Btw im currently transporting wood from Basin to the naval base)

Isn't there a mining base in Loye?
How much money do you need?
Can you down grade your ship?
find pirates and hope you can scoop up cargo after - no wait, you don't have a cargo scoop right? If you did, you could sell it.
Try to find fixer mission in the same system, could be very difficult though. Scout mission is your best bet. Check in in the hotel to sleep off a day.
You don't have a save game?
EDIT: the more wood you bring to the Naval base, the less you'll get paid for it. Try to alternate goods and planets.

No mining base in loye, only agricultural.
10.000 for a jump drive.
Why would I want to, id lose more money and it still wouldn´t come with the jump drive.
No cargo scooper.
Fixer?
No save game.

If you don't mind becoming a criminal, a quick way to get hold of that money would be rob-killing some pedestrians...

I just did just that.
Got lucky and nobody witnessed how i killed 3 guys. One had 4500 credits on him (the other 2 had 1000 each).
I now got the money for the jump drive and maybe something else.
EDIT:
I just LOVE the M-47 laser gun. Three shots in the head and you dont have any trouble at all.

That works. But I'm guessing that you probably got banned from the base for that...

Me banned? No way. 
I got all the money I need for now by killing (and a bit of transporting wood).
